Provibol (Proviron) is an orally acting synthetic androgen that does not have anabolic characteristics. Provibol is used in school medicine to alleviate or cure disorders facilitated by deficiency of male sex hormones. Many athletes, for this reason, often use Proviron at the end of a steroid treatment in order to increase the reduced production of testosterone. However, this is not a good idea because Provibol has no effect on the body's testosterone production, but – as mentioned at the beginning – reduces or completely eliminates the dysfunctions caused by testosterone deficiency.
These include impotence which is mainly caused by androgen deficiency which can occur after stopping steroids, and infertility which manifests in a reduced sperm count and reduced sperm quality. sperm. Proviron is therefore taken during steroid administration or after discontinuation of steroid use, to rule out possible impotence or reduced sexual interest. Female athletes who naturally have higher estrogen levels often supplement their steroid intake with Proviron, resulting in increased muscle hardness. In the past, it was common for bodybuilders to take a daily dose of one 25mg tablet over several weeks, sometimes even months, in order to appear hard all year round.

Dosage

This was especially important for athlete appearances at guest shows, seminars and photo shoots. Since Proviron is very effective male athletes usually only need 50mg/day which means the athlete usually takes one 25mg tablet in the morning and another 25mg tablet in the evening. In some cases, one 25 mg tablet per day is sufficient. When you combine Proviron with Tamoxifen (50mg Proviron/day and 20mg Tamoxifen/day), it will lead to almost complete suppression of estrogen.
